Miami, FL, March 15, 2018 – The Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment held its Peace, Harmony & Moonlight Party under the Stars at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, Florida, March 15, 2018. It was a magical evening and memorable event for its members and supporters. Dr. Jim Larson, Scientific Board Member, presented on “Healthy Schools in a Dangerous World.” The Leesfield Family Foundation proudly supported the event and wishs to express its gratitude to the Institute’s founders, Lynn Aptman and Dr. Michael Aptman, and the Institute’s hard working staff in their goal of reducing violence and helping victims and their families. Chair Ira Leesfield serves as an Honorary Board member of the Melissa Institute.
