The Leesfield Family Foundation continues its support of Miami Jewish Health Systems as it celebrates seventy-five years of care and healthy aging to the South Florida community, making a difference in the lives of countless individuals.
Founded in 1940, with Ida Cohen as its first President, and subsequently led for many years by the Honorable Judge Irving Cypen, Miami Jewish Health Systems now serves annually over 12,000 patients and residents of all ages in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. The Mental Health and Memory Center at Miami Jewish Health Systems is a world renowned leader in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research. The celebration took place on February 28, 2015 at the Miami Jewish Health Systems Campus. “We are deeply proud to be associated with this wonderful and most important institution, and extend our congratulations to its leaders and staff for their remarkable work, said Ira Leesfield.”
