LFF announced it has awarded the 2013 AAJ/Leesfield Law Student Scholarship to Adam Birka-White, a first year law student at the University of San Francisco School of Law. This year’s presentation took place on July 21, 2013, during the American Association for Justice Annual Convention held in San Francisco, CA. Adam’s passion for the civil justice system began in 2008 when he worked as a Paralegal at a law firm in San Francisco. He worked primarily in the prosecution of approximately 150 cases involving Yamaha Rhino accidents which eventually resulted in the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall of the Rhino. In 2011, Adam received his Master’s of Public Policy from the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, DC. Adam will graduate law school in May 2015.
