Ira Leesfield presented a Foundation award to Professor Laurence Rose, Director of the Litigation Skills Program at the University of Miami School of Law to help establish a scholarship in memory of Leesfield’s longtime friend and colleague, Daniel S. Pearson, whose lifetime of dedication to his profession and service to his community earned him a reputation of one of America’s most respected attorney and judge. In 1980, Florida Governor Bob Graham appointed Judge Pearson to the Third District Court of Appeal where he served until 1989. LFF is proud to honor his legacy by supporting this scholarship fund which will be awarded to law school students who demonstrate dedication to public service and a high standard of professionalism.
