The Leesfield Family Foundation and Leesfield & Partners were actively supportive of the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (Miami-Dade County) Annual 5K Walk/Run on February 8, 2015.
Members of the firm and staff participated in this very important event. Our commitment to MADD has been historic, but the recent efforts of trial lawyer, Daniel Diaz-Balart, gave us an additional opportunity to help this organization to further its efforts in protecting families, from drunk driving and underage drinking.
The Leesfield Family Foundation continued its support of the FIU Jewish Museum of Florida with financial assistance and recognition of Kenneth Bloom. The Jewish Museum of Florida collects, preserves, and interprets the material evidence of the Florida Jewish experience from the time the Jews were first allowed to settle in 1763 up to the present. The Museum is dedicated to multi-cultural education and demonstrates through exhibitions and a collection of archived materials how the challenges of immigration are shared by all ethnicities in the diverse state of Florida and our nation. The visitors to the Museum, located at 301 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139, always leave inspired, informed and educated as to Jewish legends and leadership in Florida.
The Miami Children’s Health Foundation has been a longtime friend of the Leesfield Family Foundation and the Leesfield Family. Dedicated and outstanding physicians at Miami Children’s Hospital have continued the tradition of excellence and leadership throughout the country. This year, the warm and magnificent recognition of Lindsay Marie Lewis and the mutual support and cooperation between the Lewis Family and Miami Children’s Hospital inspired Managing Partner, Ira Leesfield to establish a 2015 grant in her honor. Miami Children’s Hospital is a comprehensive care center recognized by the medical community, nationally and internationally, for its expertise, innovation, in specialized, complex medical procedures. Families from all over the world go to Miami Children’s Hospital for the most advanced treatments. Thanks to our good friend Dr. Ricardo Restrepo!

For many years, the Leesfield Family Foundation has supported the Miami Jewish Health Systems, and would not miss the opportunity to take an active role in the 75 Diamond Jubilee Anniversary Gala to take place on February 28, 2015. The lifetime dedication to Miami Health Systems of Judge Irving Cypen cannot go unmentioned for his tireless work to make this institution grow from a 23 bed-cottage to a 20-acre campus, providing advanced medical care to seniors, along with independent and assisted-living facilities.
