During the past days, relentless rain and rising rivers have destroyed communities across southern Louisiana, forcing thousands of its residents to evacuate, leaving behind their homes and valuable belongings.

Many are fortunate to have friends and families who were not affected and have offered a safe refuge, but there are others who have fled to makeshift shelters hoping for assistance.  LFF was among the first responders to provide financial support through http://www.VolunteerLouisiana.gov   “During challenging times, whether it’s Dallas, Orlando or a natural disaster, Americans have always come together to give a helping hand.  Generosity is in the fabric of our nation, said Chair Ira Leesfield.   We urge you to help Louisiana.   We did!
